ABOUT US

Ceól Néamh is the premier bagpipe band organization of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania
whose name translates to "Heavenly Music" in Scots Gaelic.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are committed to enriching our local community with the promotion of
traditional Scottish culture and music through regular competitions, performances, parades, and educational programs.
We are multi generational band with membership aging from high school to retired.

Our group holds weekly practice and educational sessions starting at 6:30PM on Wednesday evenings
at the Benchmark Construction warehouse on the corner of Oregon Pike and Zooks Mill Road in Brownstown, PA 17508.

The band competes in about five competitions each year and actively participates in parades and community events
throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, including the cities of Lancaster, York, Harrisburg, Scranton, and the Lehigh Valley.
To support our educational goals, we run schools of piping and drumming to help those interested in joining the band.

The organization was founded by Thompson McConnell and the group continues to proudly wear the McConnell family tartan in his honor.

Ceól Néamh recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
During this time of celebration and remembrance, the organization went through a identity rebrand.
Our new Tree of Life emblem represents the growth of our organization,
not only one of musical excellence but one of FAMILY.
